Riley Shai

Meet Riley! Born and raised in Oklahoma, Riley moved to Northern Virginia during high school and made the leap to Nashville in 2021. She’s loved every second of calling Music City home. Riley knew she wanted to be a hairstylist from the age of six, inspired by watching her cousin’s passion for the craft. She went on to attend Paul Mitchell the School in Woodbridge, Virginia, and has now been behind the chair for seven years, turning a childhood dream into a career she’s endlessly passionate about.

Riley loves most services, but her heart is in color transformations and blonding. She began her career with Aveda, taking specialized color classes and learning under a mentor who gave her a strong foundation in color theory and sparked her love for the artistry and science of hair color. Shortly after arriving in Nashville, she returned to Aveda to dive into advanced color techniques, and she continues to expand her skills through education with industry pros like JZ Styles and Dawn Bradley. Riley is a firm believer that there’s always something new to learn, and she brings that curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail to every client.

Riley wants every client to feel truly heard, understood, and cared for, confident that they’re in good hands and that she’s got them covered. Her chair is a place to relax, feel loved, and be a little spoiled, because to her, it’s about so much more than great hair. Outgoing, loyal, and a self-described ride-or-die friend, Riley loves meeting new people, building genuine connections, and finding the fun in everyday life. She’s someone people can count on, both personally and professionally.

Outside the salon, Riley’s friends, family, and dogs mean the world to her. She loves getting outdoors, soaking up nature, and slowing down with a good book, appreciating the little things just as much as the big adventures.

What does “come as you are” mean to you?: “No matter what kind of day you’re having, what you’re going through, or how you’re feeling when you walk through the door, you’re welcome just as you are. There’s no pressure to show up as anything other than yourself. Everyone deserves a space where they can simply be themselves, and I hope my chair can always be that place.”
