Linden Johanna

she/her

Meet Linden! Born and raised right here in Nashville, she jokes that this makes her a bit of a unicorn in a city full of transplants. Linden began her hair journey at the Franklin Aveda Institute in 2019, putting her at seven years in the industry as of 2026.

Linden specializes in color, with a particular love for hand-painting hair, a technique that lightens hair in a soft, natural way. Whether it's a hand-painted balayage or a rich, all-over color from coppers to brunettes, Linden's goal is always the same: hair that looks soft, organic, and effortlessly lived-in. Learning to hand paint was a turning point in her career, reshaping how she sees hair and even how she foils, always with an eye toward where dimension should live so color can really pop. She's also taught color to apprentices, an experience that sharpened her ability to explain process and technique to clients in a way that leaves them more educated about their own hair.

Linden wants clients to leave excited to wear their hair and equipped with a better understanding of it, whether that's styling at home or simply knowing the "why" behind their color. She's kind, genuine, detail-oriented, and easygoing, someone clients describe as open to anyone and everyone. She's passionate about staying present and open to what life brings, and she believes deeply in respecting where each client is that day, which is why she offers silent appointments for anyone who wants them. Want to chat the whole time? She's all ears. Want quiet? She'll give you the space for that too.

What does "come as you are" mean to you?: "'Come as you are' means to me to be open to feeling like you can just simply be who you are and to enjoy it as well. There is no judgment here."
