Meet Katie! This experienced down to earth stylist from Cincinnati now calls Nashville home. Katie embraces all texture types. Specifically curly hair, shags, bangs and sun-kissed hand painted color/ balayages. When she is not behind the chair, you can find Katie connecting with the sun and water in nature on a hike, spending time with her partner Justin, caring for her house plants and walking with her dog Rover.

“The hair I do is very intuitive and a collaboration between myself and my client. I’ve had so many clients sit in my chair and express they’ve had bad experiences or they haven’t felt seen/heard. I feel the most important part of my process is in the consultation and giving my clients the confidence in our end goal. I listen to my clients desires/worries and together we create an outcome we are both happy with. I think there has been a big gap within the industry of textured hair and bangs and I’ve made it a priority to close that. I take pride in helping people on their natural hair / bangs journey and I love teaching my clients how to style their hair. I believe a good haircut needs minimal styling and I love teaching my clients how to reach that. I also specialize in hand painted hair. Hand painting is effortless, low maintenance, and natural. Its purpose is to emulate the sun and how it would naturally lighten the hair. It can be extremely soft for subtle dimension or go bold and bright for a high contrast blonde.”

what does "come as you are" mean to you?: I take come as you are very literally, whether that means you have an exact idea of what you’d like or you sit down and have no idea what you want to do I will help you find an end goal. In life I think our main purpose is to connect and create community within each other and I’m glad hair gives me the opportunity to do that.
