Meet Gillian! A born-and-raised Nashville native, Gillian's path to hairdressing wasn't exactly a straight line. They started in fine arts, moved into screen printing for a while, and eventually went looking for a career they could see themselves building a future in. With zero idea what they were getting into, they enrolled at Aveda, and ended up falling in love with the craft.

Gillian loves cutting all types of hair, with a particular knack for shorter styles and defined detail work, alongside a love for accentuating natural texture and creating hair that's genuinely "ready to wear." Much of their growth as a stylist has come from watching the people around them work, finding inspiration in a great technique, then adapting it into something that fits their own hand.

Gillian wants clients to feel relaxed above all else, and believes that really listening to what someone wants (and needs) shapes the entire experience. Chill and down to earth by their own account, and "pragmatic" and "level-headed" according to friends (a description Gillian finds pretty funny), they bring an easygoing, low-pressure energy to every appointment.

Outside the salon, Gillian can usually be found in their studio painting or picking up whatever new craft has caught their interest that month, along with spending time with their partner Evan and their two cats, Ziggy and Tooth (Toofy).
